We are in the middle of October, and the fall season is in full swing at Oklahoma Celtic!
With so many teams, programs, events, and activities happening, we want this newsletter to be a helpful resource for important information while also giving us a chance to celebrate our players, coaches, teams, and Celtic community.
In this month’s newsletter, we’ll share club updates, highlight what’s been happening around Gillis-Rother Soccer Complex, and look ahead to some of the exciting events and opportunities coming up.

BREAKING NEWS!!!
US Club Soccer Regionals coming to Gillis-Rother Soccer Complex!
We’re thrilled to welcome the US Club Soccer South Central National Cup Regionals to Gillis-Rother Soccer Complex on June 11 – 14, 2027!
The South Central Regional is a qualifying tournament for US Club Soccer’s National Cup Finals. Boys and girls teams compete within their age groups in two divisions—Super Group and Premier Group—with regional champions earning a spot at Nationals. There, they face champions from other regional events and qualifying state cups from across the country to compete for a national championship!
Our facility was built for events like this—bringing outstanding soccer to Norman while welcoming visiting teams and families to our hotels, restaurants, and local businesses. It’s an exciting opportunity to showcase our complex and everything our city has to offer!
A HUGE shout-out and heartfelt thank you to Norman’s Parks & Rec and Norman’s Sports Commission for helping bring this event to life! We’re so grateful for your support, partnership, and commitment to our community!
The Oklahoma Celtic Breakaway – November 7th at 9 am.
Join The Breakaway, a new annual Norman tradition bringing runners, walkers, and families together to support the Oklahoma Celtic player scholarship fund and a community cause.
This year, a percentage of proceeds will also support Celtic alumnus Jack Coleman (Celtic ’93), helping with medical and rehabilitation expenses following a life-altering event that resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury and 8 months of inpatient care. Jack’s 3-year-old son now plays for Celtic, just like he did 30 years ago!

Techne App
Huge congratulations to all our Oklahoma Celtic players who have been putting in the extra work through the Techne App!
We love seeing our players take ownership of their development and spend time on the ball outside of their regular team training. Every extra touch adds up, and the consistency and commitment they’re showing will improve their technical ability.
Keep putting in the work, keep challenging yourself, and keep climbing the Techne leaderboard!
Girls Mini College ID Night
Our players showcased their skills and connected with 13+ college coaches during a fantastic evening of soccer! Thank you to the coaches who supported our players.

Celtic Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
Our Celtic teams are proudly wearing pink tees this October to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Thank you to our players, coaches, and families for coming together to raise awareness and show support for everyone affected by breast cancer. We’re proud to see our Celtic Family spreading encouragement and hope on and off the field.
Celtic Club Night at OU
Our Celtic Family came together for a fun night cheering on the OU women’s soccer team as they took on LSU! Celtic’s OU Night was a great opportunity for our players to watch college soccer, enjoy time with teammates, and support our local Women’s Soccer team. Thank you to all the players, coaches, and families who joined us! Boomer Sooner!

Our U13 and U14 boys represented Oklahoma Celtic at the ECNL event in St. Louis, gaining valuable experience against strong competition. Adding to the excitement, id2 scouts attended our U14 Boys ECNL-RL game, giving our players an opportunity to showcase their abilities. Well done, boys!

Oklahoma Celtic Futsal | January 2027
Build skills, confidence, and creativity this winter! Our four-week futsal program helps players sharpen their first touch, make quicker decisions, and improve their game through fast-paced training in tight spaces.
When: January 4 – 29, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Sessions begin at 5:30 p.m.; times vary by group.
Where: Premier Sportsplex, 111 Premier Pkwy, Norman
Cost: Once weekly: $95 | Twice weekly: $165 | Three times weekly: $215
