Overview
The Oklahoma Celtic Summer Soccer Skills Camp; Fitness Program is a community-driven, player-centered summer training experience designed to help young athletes enter the fall season fitter, faster, more confident, and more connected. Built over four years of consistent delivery, the program blends
conditioning, technical development, and small-sided play in a fun, supportive environment that has become especially meaningful for female athletes across the club.
Led by Coach Alex and Coach Song, the program has grown organically through word-of-mouth, strong relationships, and a culture that emphasizes joy, effort, and belonging. While the program has historically been embraced by girls, a handful of boys participate each year, and all players are welcome. The program’s signature event — the end-of-summer 3v3 Jamboree — has become a regional highlight, drawing players from Norman, Moore, Noble, and even as far away as Edmond. The Jamboree is intentionally low-pressure, fun-first, and community-centered, with volunteer referees (club coaches or certified refs), a bring-a-team-or-we-can-place-you format, and a dedicated U7 and under group. As the program transitions to the Oklahoma Celtic Fields, it enters a new phase of visibility, legitimacy, and long-term sustainability.
