Ryan Trudgian

Ryan Trudgian was born and raised in Cornwall, England, and joined Plymouth Argyle Football Club at 14. Ryan made his football league debut for the professional team at 17 and stayed at the club until he was 20. After his contract came to an end at Plymouth, Ryan came to America on a soccer scholarship at Oklahoma City University, where he received his Undergraduate degree in Business and his Master’s degree in Leadership Management, all while being an All-American, All-Conference and SAC Offensive Player of the Year and amounting over 50 goals in his college career.

Starting his professional coaching journey, Ryan joined Norman Youth Soccer Association and gained his USSF A License in 2010. Success at the youth level followed, as his teams achieved success at the State and Regional levels, resulting in Ryan being named Oklahoma Soccer Association’s Competitive Boys Coach of the Year in 2013.

Ryan has become more of a leader at NYSA and has been a director in the academy, recreational and competitive programs. Ryan has coached kids of all ages and has been a director at all club levels, while running the largest NYSA camp during the summer (Striker/Keeper Camp).

Other notable achievements were gaining his Master Coach and Soccer Leader Diploma from United Coaches and National Youth and Goalkeeping Licenses, working with High School teams, gaining District and State success, coaching at the PDL level, Springfield Demize, and also being a GA with OCU, where they were semi-finalists at the NAIA National Tournament.

Ryan is a current Coach Educator for US Soccer at the Grassroots, D, and C license levels.
